Oral Surgeon Dr. Tarver
Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery & Fellow of the American College of Surgeons
Dr. Jeremy Tarver, Co-director of Saving Faces, dedicates much of his time and efforts to
providing services for underserved communities. His focus is on patients who may not have the
financial wherewithal to afford extreme and life changing procedures. Dr. Tarver has
participated in mission trips for over 10 years and counting. He travels to the Dominican
Republic (D.R.) every year to work in the community, and continually provides his services to
those in need right here in the US.
Dr. Tarver earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Institute of Technology. He then
went on to Howard University College of Dentistry, where he earned a Doctorate of Dental
Surgery.
Dr. Tarver completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harlem Hospital Center in
Harlem, NY. During this time, he began traveling to D.R. to participate in various mission trips
organized by the Dominican Medical-Dental Outreach Society. Over the years, he has performed
many surgeries both in and out the U.S. Most recently, Dr. Tarver was inducted into the
American College of Surgeons in acknowledgement of the vast array of surgeries he has
performed in the U.S.
In his personal life, Dr. Tarver is married to a pediatric dentist, and they both share a daughter
and a son. His hobbies include working out, dancing, and being a cheer-dad and soccer-dad for
his children. He is the owner of East Atlanta Oral and Facial Surgery Center in Atlanta, GA. In
addition, he is an attending surgeon at Harlem Hospital in NY, N.Y. and Wellstar Kennestone
Hospital in Kennesaw, GA.
